September 22, 2019

Medical Center is looking for healthy participants (Ages 18-60) interested in participating in a sleep study that investigates the relationship between the inflammatory system and normal or shortened sleep (5 days in a row where you have only 4 hours of sleep per night). To better understand the inflammatory response to sleep, we will ask you to take a low-dose aspirin pill (or placebo) for 2 weeks at-home before coming in to the in-hospital part of the study.

What’s involved?
 Initial screening visit
 1-night in-hospital sleep screening visit
 Three 2-week long at-home diary/actigraphy recording periods with intervention of aspirin or placebo
 Three 11-day (10 nights) in-hospital stays with sleep recordings throughout, following directly the 2-week long at-home period
 Blood draws during the in-hospital stays and 2-weeks prior to in-hospital stays

Payment of up to $7,065 for study participation.
