JOIN a Brain Injury Research Study

August 13, 2019

The Division of Sleep Medicine at Brigham & Women’s Hospital is seeking [male][female] patients who:
• are 18 to 64 years old
• had a traumatic brain injury (TBI) one year ago or longer
• since their TBI, are now sleeping more than they used to or are very sleepy during the daytime
Patients who meet these criteria may be eligible for a sleep research study. The purpose of this study is to see if a medication can help with excessive daytime sleepiness and long sleep duration in people who have had a recent TBI. This study will ask participants to make 9 study visits (including 1 overnight stay) over the course of 3-4 months. Participants will take a medication to see if it helps with sleepiness during the daytime.
