MRI Paid Research Study

March 7, 2020

Fill out our online survey below to determine if you are eligible to participate:  https://openredcap.nyumc.org/apps/redcap/surveys/?s=N4P99M4NCY

We are seeking volunteers who are 45-70 years old and are able to walk unassisted to participate in a MRI study. The purpose of the study is to learn more about the effects of Type 2 diabetes on the metabolism and blood flow of the calf muscle.

Participants will visit our center on 2 separate days, one week apart. During the first visit, which lasts about 3.5-hours, participants will provide multiple blood samples during an oral glucose tolerance test, complete a brief foot exam, and be trained on a foot pedal exercise. During the second visit, participants will undergo a non-invasive 1-hour MRI scan of their calf.

Volunteers will be compensated up to $400 for their participation.

If you are eligible for this research study, a member of our study team will reach out to you.
